I thank whatever god or gods of Earth that I must only endure this terrible sight in the deepest of nightmares. The boundless maw that is the coart of the demon sultan Azathoth looms in the darkest reaches of space. And those who have beheld it in person, never tell there tale...

Iv done Azathoth before, but i wanted it to look less like a cave painting and more like that nightmare I see in my mind. And truly, a sight like this would test the sanity of any being.

Ramsey Campbell said in "The Madness from the Vaults" a part of Azathoth skulks in a now-abandoned city on Tond, and apparently - ate everybody there, before it was sealed off to protect Tond and perhaps the universe. Can also be accessed in the pyramid temple(s)* from Shaggai, but, if one is not careful in getting the door closed fast enough....Azathoth will emerge like a crinkling stream...
* There had been many temples on Shaggai, but, one day, something crawled over the edge of the universe and devastated the planet. Only those who took refuge in one temple managed to survive the cataclysm, and then teleport even as Shaggai glowed and the buildings came crashing down....
